Welcome to Gerald Elementary
I want to welcome you to Gerald Elementary. I am Jennifer Hall, principal of GES. I have been with the Gasconade County R-II school District my entire career. I taught 7th grade for 4 years, 4th grade for 2 years and have been a principal in the District for 20 years. I feel so fortunate to work for such a great District that puts kids first. Our building is made up of approximately 300 students in grades PK through 5. Our class sizes range from 15-25 students per class with 2 or 3 sections per grade. We have a Title 1 preschool as well as house an early childhood special education pre school.
We are a PBS school and have received Silver recognition for implementation of PBS. We are continually working on ways to better meet the needs of all of our students. This includes check in check out, breaks for those needing it during the day, a calm down room as well as a variety of alternative seating options and sensory items. I have a staff that truly loves what they do and is always putting the child first and making sure their needs are met. We do Family Groups each Friday morning where are students are grouped PK-5 in small family groups and meet with the same teacher. Each year those students move up a grade but stay with that same family group on Friday morning. The kids love it! We do community service projects, read w/buddy, character lessons and fun activities with our “family”. This has helped to build community within our building even more!
We want all of our students to be successful and it takes a partnership with school and family. We encourage all of our parents to be involved in their childs education. Let’s continue to work together to make every child successful at Gerald Elementary and more importantly to prepare for success in life.
